Lesson 8 – How to correctly use "There used to be" in all forms

There used to be is an expression that implies the usage of “used to” but it has a different meaning which we’ll talk about in this class.

There used to be is often used when we want to talk about something that existed in the past but is no longer present. It’s an important part of learning English grammar because it allows you to describe places, habits, or situations that have changed over time.

Adverbs of time that express an indefinite period — like long ago, a long time ago, in the past, a few years ago, or some weeks ago — are often mixed with this form. Knowing these expressions will help you speak more naturally about past situations and improve your English fluency.

By the end of this class, you’ll feel more comfortable using “There used to be” in your everyday conversations. Don’t forget to practice — it’s the key to mastering this structure!
